My Tiny Garden Got a PERGOLA and It's a Total Game Changer!

Okay, so picture this: before, my garden was…meh. Usable, sure, but definitely not a place where I wanted to hang out. I dreamed of having a cute little outdoor space where I could sip my morning coffee, read a book, maybe even have a BBQ with friends. But with such a small area, I just didn't think it was possible.

Then it hit me: a pergola!

I'd seen them in magazines and on Pinterest. It could definitely provide some shade, which is a MUST in a sunny garden.

I did considered a DIY option for a hot minute, but let's be real, my DIY skills are…let's just say "a work in progress". Instead I browsed online and the best I found is this PURPLE LEAF 10' x 13' Outdoor Retractable Pergola which was so easy and simple to install.

Seriously, if you have a small garden, adding a pergola is the best thing you can do. It adds so much character, creates a defined space, and gives you a framework for all sorts of creative gardening ideas. Plus, it just looks amazing!

Here are some other types of pergolas which you might consider too:

1. Attached pergola - This type of pergola is attached to your house, extending your indoor living space outdoors. It's perfect for covering a patio or deck.

3. Louvered Pergola - It has a much modern design and adjustable louvers on the roof, allowing you to control the amount of sunlight and shade.

2. Arched pergola - This pergola features a curved or arched roof, adding a touch of elegance and visually appealing. Can be used to frame a pathway or entrance.

4. DIY Pergola - If you're handyman type of person, well you can build your own pergola. This allows you to customize the design and materials to perfectly suit your garden. Here is a video I found on how to install one:
